THE REFUGE LAPEER CALENDAR & ANNOUNCEMENTS

In the years 2022 and 2023, we've made significant improvements to The Refuge building, creating a safer and more comfortable space for our guests and volunteers. Thanks to the incredible support from our community through both monetary donations and in-kind contributions, we've accomplished quite a bit:

• Added a user-friendly, handicap-accessible bathroom with a shower on the 2nd floor.
• Enhanced the kitchen and dining areas with durable epoxy flooring and upgraded kitchen cabinets.
• Given the entire building a fresh look with a new coat of paint.
• Repaired the fence surrounding the property.
• Introduced new washers and dryers for improved laundry facilities.
• Installed new rain gutters to enhance building infrastructure.
• Refurbished the handicap ramp for increased accessibility.
• Sealed the parking lot to ensure safety while we plan for future resurfacing.

These upgrades not only make The Refuge a more welcoming place but also contribute to its overall safety and efficiency. We're incredibly grateful for the community's support in making these positive changes happen.
